What Flow 2 Does NOT Do

Edited

Short Overview

Flow 2 is a point-of-entry multi-stage water purification system engineered primarily for treated municipal tap water and frequently suitable for stable deep well sources, subject to water quality assessment.

Flow 2 is designed as a treatment component within a properly engineered plumbing system. It does not compensate for incorrect pipe sizing, inadequate drainage, non-compliant installation, or untreated high-risk water chemistry.

Flow 2 Is Not a Water Softener

Flow 2 does not reduce hardness (calcium and magnesium).

If a property experiences scaling, limescale staining, or high hardness values, a dedicated water softener (ion exchange) is required.

Flow 2 Does Not Remove Dissolved Salts / TDS

Flow 2 is not a reverse osmosis (RO) or nano-filtration (NF) system and does not significantly reduce:

  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

  • Dissolved salts / conductivity

  • Nitrates

  • Fluoride

  • Arsenic

If reduction of dissolved solids is required, additional dedicated treatment (e.g., RO/NF or specific media) must be used.

Flow 2 Is Not Designed for Certain High-Risk Raw Sources Without Pre-Treatment

Flow 2 is not intended as a standalone solution for:

  • Raw surface water (river/lake) without pre-treatment

  • Industrial wastewater

  • Seawater or brackish water

  • Highly contaminated sources requiring specialist treatment

Deep well / borehole water may be suitable, but must be assessed based on turbidity, iron/manganese, hydrogen sulfide, microbiology, and other site-specific parameters.

Flow 2 Does Not Guarantee Universal Contaminant Removal

Flow 2 improves water quality through filtration, adsorption, and UV disinfection, but it is not marketed as:

  • A medical device

  • A laboratory-certified guarantee of pathogen elimination under all conditions

  • A heavy industrial purification plant

  • A universal solution for every water chemistry scenario

Performance depends on inlet water quality, installation, operating pressure, and maintenance.

Flow 2 Does Not Replace Professional Installation

Flow 2 does not eliminate the need for:

  • Correct plumbing layout and sizing

  • Appropriate drainage provisions for flushing cycles

  • Electrical safety compliance and grounding

  • Local code compliance

  • Proper commissioning and leak/pressure testing

Installation quality directly impacts performance, reliability, and service intervals.

Flow 2 Is Not User-Serviceable Internally

Users should not:

  • Open the housing

  • Access internal electrical components

  • Modify internal plumbing

  • Bypass safety functions

  • Replace internal boards or wiring

Servicing must be performed by qualified professionals.

Important Clarification

Using Flow 2 outside intended water conditions or installation standards may:

  • Reduce performance

  • Increase maintenance frequency

  • Increase fouling risk

  • Affect warranty coverage

Suitability should be confirmed prior to purchase through a basic water analysis and technical review.
